Not everyone is a morning person. I know so many people that need a bit of quiet time in the morning to be able to be function well. Either way, if she needs that time, good for her for making time for it.

To the others asking what she has to decompress from, people are just wired differently. Some people are raring to go in the morning, while others are happier burning the midnight oil. I think decompress was a bad choice of words on the OP’s part.
