And, to those saying there are confederate flags, I've looked at the reports and on the internet. The only thing I've seen is that NBC reported that there were "at least two."
With all those thousands of people, I guess it is possible. But, I'm not seeing it.
These look like people who are frustrated. I read one tweet that said you can "buy grass and smoke it, but you cannot mow it."

They are afraid of her.. that she might be the VP pick. If they were so sure of Trump and how he is a stable genius, they would not need to do this. But they are afraid because deep down, they know that most Americans despise Trump. Trump won MI by .3%. MI is a hotspot for covid, and they know that Trump managed this terribly. They have much to fear.
I thought she was a shoo-in for VP. I think she just blew it with this unforced error.

If people who recently flew and people from SE Michigan stayed where they are & practiced genuine 14-day self-quarantine, the state could probably open back up. Masks for everyone in service industry. Keep social distancing. People can be smart about this, I don't think you need to keep EVERYONE in the house for weeks on end as so many businesses lurch toward bankruptcy.
