Another death blow to LACs: Don't be surprised if all colleges and universities don't re-open campuses until January 2021.

If that's the case, who would pay private LAC tuition prices to learn online? Families will rightly just have the kids enroll in online coursework at the local CC or commuter university.

Some may. Many were really hit by 2008, and having to refund housing money when they have sunk costs may put many over the edge.

Apparently. Is that we’re OP was getting her “rumors”? Because nothing that has been posted has said that “lots” of LACs are closing this summer. Discussing financial strain doesn’t mean that they are closing this summer. Seems like OP is a typical DCUM sh!t stirrer who makes up things.

I’m sorry, I thought this thread was about schools closing down permanently this summer, per the thread title. I did not see anything in that article about that subject.

I've seen things like Bard College re-opening its admissions window for those living within a certain mile radius (students will want to commute from home?). University of Arizona will no longer guarantee accepted graduate student stipends/packages if they haven't already committed to attending this fall.
