I would. I don’t want cowboy vigilantes shooting down anyone they want.
And there are plenty of other people in Arlington who are ok with people defending their peop tand businesses, and odds are, at least one (or more) will be in the jury box next to you.
Boom, instant hung jury, no conviction.
People, yes.
"Business", no.
It's called insurance FFS.
I pay insurance. I don’t like my premiums going up because claims are constantly being made by people being taken advantage of by criminals.
I’m totally ok with this clerk shooting a burglar, and no jury I’m ever on is ever going to convict someone in these circumstances. Just won’t happen. Period.
Depends on the jurisdiction and the demographics of the store clerk and the criminal. In DC the store clerk would be in serious trouble before a jury, particularly if the he or she is Korean-American and the thief is AA.

So the penalty for petty theft is death?
Good to know...
I’m fine with that.
They smashed a store front open. It’s not “petty theft”. How can you make excuses for those people??
Petty theft is stealing a $5.00 piece of meat. THey broked into a locked business. Stole cash. Stole merchandise.
How much merchandise? How much cash?
What is the price of murder? $20? $200?
Anonymous wrote:Employee doing his job at 5:00 a.m. Three males broke into the locked store and stole cash and merchandise.
On what planet is this okay?
Something is seriously wrong with our society when it is okay to break into a licked business, steal cash, and steal merchandise.
The three males, juveniles it seems, should do some hard time.

Play with fire and you may get burned.

So sick of criminals thinking they can do whatever they want without consequences.
There are consequences. Being shot by a vigilante isn't a legal one.
Actually, there are no consequences. None of any consequence to the criminals, anyway. That's why they continue to do it.
And it's not like they woke up in the morning and TRIPPED into this guy's business. Give me a break.

Get a grip. This wasn't a cowboy vigilante.....it was a shop owner defending his store from multiple robbers at 5 AM.
Defending the store? Fck the store. If he were defending his life that's another story. But the store?
LOCK HIM UP.
Store workers’ lives matter. Criminal thugs not so much.
Working peoples lives matter. Criminal thugs not so much.
