I so desperately wish I could take them, but I don’t. I’m in a shelter in place state and grocery shopping is very much an ‘in and out’ excursion. Taking the kids would make it more of an ordeal.

I haven’t seen any kids when I’ve been to the store. And all of the older people go at separate times. The store used to be so full of families talking, neighbors saying hi, kids misbehaving, working people grabbing lunch or dinner, and old ladies using checks and too many coupons. Now it’s just individual people with big cartloads of stuff.
It’s so eerie.

No. It's better to have a few people leaving the house as possible. Plus, it's important to get in/get out. Kids can make that harder.

Surely you're aware that's what babysitters are for.

I hope this is sarcastic.

My DH usually goes out on his own to shop. He has to run in to the office every few days to take care of some things, so he goes early in the morning for shopping and office, ideally before anyone is at either location.

Another single parent so no choice. She stays in her stroller with the hood extended.

A 13 yo can watch a 10 yo if a single parent. If another adult is around, leave the kids at home with them.

Mine are 6 and 8, and od probably leave them home alone before I took them to the store. In norm sad l circumstances I would never do this.

Absolutely not

No and it’s been striking to me how few kids are in the grocery store during my weekly trip.

No! Send one person from each household.

Do you really think they’re having people work from home because they’re worried adult employees are going to lick the copier? It’s to minimize exposure! The grocery store employees have to be there - don’t be a jerk.

If your kids are feeling cooped up, tell them to go on a walk around the block.

It's not only touching surfaces that is a problem. Why do you think we are staying 6 feet away from one another? Wake up, people.

Ha, I send my 13YO while I work. No school, might as well put them to use.
