There is a thing called countercyclical fiscal and monetary policy which most economists recommend for recessions. For the current situation we need countercyclical policies on steroids. And as much as I loathe him and think he needs to drop out, Bernie would be the perfect president for the current times.

No, why would you assume the government has immediately set up daycare for kids of essential employees?
Government doesn't have child care regardless of the situation. Schools are child care for some and they are shut down.

Or, when you need medical care, are you ok with the doctor not being there as they have to be home caring for their kids as they had no child care? Are you ok with your electricity being shut off as the workers cannot work due to child care? Are you ok with stores not being stocked because workers have to stay home with their kids? Are you ok with people not getting food stamps, rental assistance, etc. as workers cannot work as they have to take care of their kids?
So why schools should be shut down but not day cares? We are talking about kids from toddlers to K who are more vulnerable than older kids.

No, why would you assume the government has immediately set up daycare for kids of essential employees?
Government doesn't have child care regardless of the situation. Schools are child care for some and they are shut down.

It’s coming. Just multiply the number of cases in your area by 10 to get an accurate count. Then multiply that number by 1026 to grt the number in 30 days. Then check the number of beds available for the truly sick which will be 15 percent of that end number
