They’re not dedicated. They are financially dependent. They don’t want to be there and you shouldn’t be there.
Some are financially dependent. I know many instructors who sincerely don't do it for the (meager) paycheck, but because it helps keep their own fitness in check.
And I should absolutely be there. It's good for my psychical, and mental health. In addition to *helping* my immune system, blood pressure, etc.

Misery loves company. If you're not rocking back and forth clutching your purell and toilet paper after not leaving home for 2 days, how dare you go out and do anything that makes you feel happy and healthy?

Anonymous wrote:You poor thing op. People are dying left and right and you can’t go to gym... sigh, life ain’t fair is it?
Anonymous wrote:OP, I feel you. I lift heavy -- with the kind of equipment we just can't fit into our home (barbells and safety racks that weigh hundreds and hundreds of pounds). It elevates my mood, keeps me fit, and most importantly, keeps me sane!
And I haven't gone for a week now. And I'm missing it tremendously. It's horrible.
But I don't want to carry this virus to my parents or my elderly neighbors. And so I'm going to look into some home workouts that I won't enjoy nearly so much, but at least will help me work my muscles a little bit.
In the meantime, I'm still paying my (boutique) gym, because I really really want it to still be around when this whole thing is over.

Op here. I can stay at home and avoid everywhere else. It’s the gym that gets me.
