+1 I can't believe this has to be spelled out, the entire point of closing the schools will be social distancing. Staying indoors for few weeks won't kill you all.
You obviously don't have two small boys. Yes two weeks with no activities would most definitely kill me.
I mean, I do have two small boys, so I get it. But this isn't normal life! You have to make adjustments! You do not have to sit inside all day, but you do have to avoid crowds. Start planning now for how to make that work. Buy some new outdoor toys to occupy them in your own yard or neighborhood. Whatever that means for you, figure it out. Seems to defeat the purpose. If they can be out and about mixing with the general public, shouldn’t they just remain in school?
This. And I saw this coming in the shut FCPS thread down. People want schools shut down and then there is the discussion of what do we doing when the kids are at home. At least at school the kids are not going to a bunch of places being kids. If schools are closed down then you almost have to close down the indoor playgrounds and gyms and museums because there are going to be a good number of parents who take their kids out.

To reiterate the obvious - IF SCHOOLS CLOSE, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO PLACES WHERE OTHER CHILDREN CONGREGATE.
