Maybe so. However, I haven't seen long hair down to the hip on any woman older than 20 that looks good. Hair that length, especially over 30, looks very much like a Duggar hairstyle. It is aging and out dated on middle aged women and never looks healthy. Hair to your shoulder blades is still long, not a "Karen" cut and will look a million times better.

x a million. then the weight gain. then the wearing of sweatpants all the f'ing time, and of course, the minivan.
The minivan is fine. Frumpy hair, frumpy clothes, and the inevitable sexual disinterest that goes with those things are the problem. Remember that "it's not the nail" video that made the rounds a few years ago? "It's not the hair."

But your face looks the same with your hair down to your waist or down to your shoulders.
OP, your husband doesn't know anything about this, he just thinks he prefers super long hair.
As somebody sadi - just tell him you'll feel sexier.
I also think it will be prettier. Very long hair weights you down and in most cases it's not the best quality once it passes shoulder blades length.

So.
Just do it.

If it’s still too long/much, do as a PP suggested and do a few inches past the shoulder. For the love of God, do not cut yourself a mom bob after having waist length hair. And realize that shoulder length means you can really only do a low ponytail - no decent higher pony or bun. The shorter you go, the fewer options you have (which, I am guessing, is not what you want with little kids).
+1, a bit longer than shoulder is nicer to pull it up
To be honest I am a bit nervous about cutting it, but it really is becoming too much. I like the gradual cutting suggestions.
To the other pps yes it is my hair and ultimately my decision, but I like to take his opinion into account.
