Subject: Kids and Coronavirus. Non medical.
I asked my kids a couple days ago if they had heard of coronavirus. They said no. I gave a quick description and moved on because they were really not interested. Ages are 7 and 4.5. I was surprised. It never occurred to me that they'd never heard of it. We are kind of an anxious family, so it seemed like a good sign that they didn't care too much.

My teen offered to have himself and his little brother stay home so they wouldn't be part of transmitting it in our area. So thoughtful! lol

I'm trying my best to shield my kids from this. They're 2 and 5 and they don't need to worry about it. That's my job.

Call the camp and ask them what they are planning on doing to deal with this if it is still a problem at that time.

My preschooler still fights hand washing (gross, I know). Her friends are like “oh, there is a new toy. I’m gonna lick it first!!”
So your preschooler is a normal preschooler. You make them wash their hands and you assume that the other preschoolers are among the billions of people on the planet that are not infected.
