Yes, but with some trepidation. I just don’t feel I have the time to wait.

Had mine last year at 45 - uneventful pregnancy, I did had a ton of monitoring at MFM and OB due to age, but overall felt great and the baby is healthy and is a joy. Very happy that I persevered on this path, this was a 2nd donor, and 3rd FET for me.

OP, I am 45 and nursing my 4 month old as I type. We endured 5 years of failed IVF efforts including failed transfers of my own eggs. I made the switch to DE and got pregnant/stayed pregnant my first DE transfer.

We are blissfully happy as parents and having this baby is hands down the b st thing either of us has ever done. Go for it and good luck!

A colleague just had her 2nd DE baby at 52. Her first came at 50. Donor everything, and I believe same male donor.

Had my first at 45 from 3rd DE cycle. Uneventful, we're both healthy and happy, best decision ever to continue on this course until success.

To the PP who mentioned being on SS while the kid is in college. Not everyone plans to be on public assistance. Life can turn out many different ways. Both my DH and I paid for our own educations, having no family or connections in this country, and if we suddenly go broke hopefully the kid will be smart and hardworking enough to make his way in life. I would not let that stop me if I decided I wanted to be a Mom.

Actually, it's all pretty inspiring. We all have different backgrounds, different life stories, some of which certainly include various traumas, tragedies and nonlinear upbringings that have led to pregnancy delays. No one ever seems to judge men who get women pregnant at 45-55 and yet women live longer than men, and are therefore able to care for a child longer. I had DE singleton at 43, then twins from the frozen embryos at 46! Very happy DE was an option, as I never ever got pg from my own eggs.

I had my first and only (my own egg) at 45. Was from a cycle when I was a late 43. I sometimes wish I had tried for another (we have some frozen embryos) left but honestly I felt too tired. My son had SN (doing great now) but that was a handful and I worried about having another child with SN. THat being said you should do what you feel it right for you. I really wish my child could have a sibling but physically I am not sure I can handle a baby now ( I am 48 soon to be 49)even though now that he is almost 4 I feel like things are easier. Good luck!
