There is a whole traunch of senior leadership at ODNI that are leaving. Like DOJ, this should be a major/siesmic message to the public that something is amiss.

When you combine it with all the career professionals having been ousted from the NSC and State, it means the IC has no one listening. No one.

Well, then he should disclaim it, and tell McConnell to pass the legislation to combat it and fund cyber security measures in our elections to ensure he is legitimately voted into office. But firing 4 people because they briefed the House Intel Committee about Russia's measures doesn't exactly reflect the actions of someone who wants to ensure the legitimacy of this reign.

President Trump didn't fire him in response to the briefing, He is literally REQUIRED BY LAW to step down.

From The New York Times:

"....under current law limiting the duration of postings for acting cabinet-level officials, Mr. Maguire must step down next month."

And, you do know that Ric Grenell has been pretty tough on Russia in his role as ambassador?


It was expected that Trump would nominate Maguire to be the official DNI, and that he would be confirmed by Congress. But he decided, right after the intelligence briefing, to replace Maguire with Grenell. It's technically not firing him. But that's what he did.

And guess what, genius, Grenell has the same expiration date as DNI since Trump hasn't nominated anyone else to permanently take the position.

It's clear now that Trump wants Grenell - who's part of the Giuliani-Toensing-Firtash scheme - to squash the investigations into Russian interference and hide relevant intelligence from Congress.
