I'm also gay and throuples are not common from what I see. I've heard of references but never actually met any and I've also heard plenty of negative sentiments about the concept. It's one thing to be sexually open but confirmed relationships are something else. People assume gays and lesbians are more tolerant but that's not necessarily true at all.

Are you thinking of Colorado City? There is a fringe offshoot of LDS living there.

Agreed. I'm a cis white woman in a heterosexual monogamous relationship (married) and I see no issue with this.
If my kid grew up thinking a throuple was a good idea or healthy I would think I failed as a parent.
Agree
No one is joining a polygamous cult because of sister wives. Pretty sure no one will become a "throuple" because of HGTV either. Calm down. It would be a different conversation with a 15 year old about how communication and trust work in a relationship, but at 5 I'm just working on teaching acceptance and tolerance of other people's choices.
You would think you failed as a parent? That's a bit extreme, no? I'm also a cis hetero white married woman with 2 kids and, while it isn't our choice of lifestyle,Do you also think you failed as a parent if your kids think 2 moms/dads, single moms/dads, trans moms/dads, etc are "healthy"? By the time our kids are grown and having their own families things will be VERY different, and while I have my own opinions on things, most importantly I'm raising my kids to treat others with respect and not involve themselves in things that don't impact them, like who other people love and choose to have a family with.I try to teach my children to not judge others.
