All towels and sheets are immediately washed in bleach after use. Any soiled garmets are trashes. I use disposable gloves. It has workes the last 2 times. Ive contained it to 1 or 2 out of 4 people. Also, lysol laundry sanitizer doesnt kill norovirus. Pine sol or bleach do.

We use a similar approach.

Other kid did get it too but was likely exposed to the same source as first kid.

This may help, or not. Chances are by the time the first person shows symptoms, it's too late. Everyone else has already been exposed. Don't get me wrong, I own clorox wipes for this reason alone. I start wiping down EVERYTHING as soon as someone throws up. But the 24 hours before they puke they are contagious and spreading it, so it's often just luck of the draw.

Fyi, otc clorox wipes dont kill norovirus. Most drug store cleaners dont kill it. You need bleach, a hydrogen peroxide cleaner or pinesol. Many people think they are disinfecting when they arent.

4 year old sudden diarrhea and vomiting today, napping at 10 am (he doesnt nap anymore). Ugh I feel like I'm just biding my time and hoping and praying the 5 mo baby doesn't get it.

Well two of us didn’t get sick so I’ll say it worked for us.

As others have mentioned, regular Clorox wipes don’t kill norovirus. So that could be part of the problem.

The Clorox hydrogen peroxide wipes and spray also kill Norovirus. The Lysol disinfectant spray in the can also kills it(not the all-purpose spray in a plastic bottle.)
