So then, don't smoke it - find another way to get your drug into your system.

I honestly don't care what you smoke or where, as long as you don't force other people to ingest your grossness.

If you need to get high regularly that banning smoking pot in buildings is an issue for you, you might consider that you have a problem with it.
so you’ll be happy when poc get evicted . Gotcha

Uh no, as a POC I'd like my right to live in my home without smelling your sick sh!t.

Seriously dude, stop dragging POC and low income people into your disgusting, yet idiotic argument.
who do you think will be most affected by this ban? You realize being homeless is the consequences. Do you really hate smokers that much ?

Yeah it's gonna be a rack of homeless people on the street because of this ban...sure. Okay great prognosticator. Take your Miss Cleo crystal ball and go stand on the corner with a Newport in your mouth and a sign warning everybody of the massive homeless crisis to come since you're so adamant.

Would smokers rather be homeless than stop smoking? According to you, yes. Perhaps they ought to work on their priorities.

Wow, this is actually a great idea. I hope it passes. Smoking is revolting.

Not sure I understand your weird comment about people of color, though. Care to elaborate?
poc and lgbt people smoke at higher rates. This means they’ll be disparately evicted for violating this but that’s okay because you hate smokers

Yeah, I'm good with that. I'm assuming they'll have a huge incentive to stop, though, so the public health will benefit.
perhaps if gays or fat people were treated like third class citizens they’d change their ways?

If smoke stayed inside the four walls of the smoker's apartment, then I'd be against banning it. Unfortunately, that disgusting poison spreads everywhere and is basically impossible to contain.

And, as the parent of a young child with asthma, who lives in an apartment with neighbors who smoke - the smell was masked by air freshener when we toured the apartment and signed the lease - I am absolutely thrilled at this news.

Secondhand smoke is a major factor in SIDS, childhood asthma, etc. It is a very serious health hazard for anyone within 50 feet of it. The only way to protect non-smokers from second-hand smoke is to push smokers into spaces where the smoke can't harm other people.

If you're going to live near other people, you can't poison them.

Black parent and VA native here. AAs and other POC already have higher rates of asthma (I have a child with asthma, and had it myself, despite no smokers around). So I count this as a good thing.

I'm a POC, and smoking (all kinds--cigarettes, pot, cigars, whatever) is disgusting and nauseating. It doesn't stay within your own walls and affects neighbors negatively.

What about low income, POC people who DON'T want to smell their neighbors smoke? Not everyone can afford a SFH in the burbs. Why force non-smoking people to suffer?
I’d be a lot more worried about the fumes from your carpets and dry cleaned clothes .

How often are you smelling other people's carpets and dry cleaned clothes while in your own home??
so you’ll ignore your carpets and dry cleaning emits carcinogens because you hate smoking ?

1 - go run for office if you don't like the shit that's going down.

2 - go take a look at the CDC's website cause you got some misinformation about 2ndhand smoke
https://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/data_statistics/fact_sheets/secondhand_smoke/health_effects/index.htm

3 - get off the web and go take a drag cause you are obviously overemotional due to nicotine-withdrawal

so where Will low income peolle be able to smoke pot once Dems decriminalize it?

Why are low income people smoking pot? Pot is expensive. You're not very logical, OP. It's like your struggling mightily to make a point or something but just aren't … bright .. enough to do so successfully.
