Yeah, I'm not one of the crazies who thinks this is a good idea. It's as if they have accepted that we don't need to be in control....ya know, no big deal. When you give someone a document like a drivers license, they feel that they are legitimized to a certain extent. I wonder what else the drivers license can aid you in obtaining?

The immigrant issue really transcends the classic boundaries of the social and economic. Many people will say, "I'm socially leftwing but economically rightwing," but these folks are a major, major drain on our economy. My kids' school has a few hispanics in each class. Which do you prefer, drivers who are licensed or drivers who are unlicensed? I prefer drivers who are licensed.
They prefer to live in Willy Wonka's CandyLand where they can pretend that the only undocumented immigrants are Oompa Loompas.
Meanwhile, the rest of us in reality-based world want undocumented immigrants to have a license, insurance, and registration so they can be found if they hit my car. And also so they pay their taxes.
You really think that illegals are going to get car insurance?

If they did not worry about being deported they wouldn't worry about being "found" when they are in an accident.
