My DC is a senior at Swarthmore. DC has health problems and Swarthmore has been very supportive. Classes very interesting lots of very bright very focused and diverse. Students. Very SJW. Separate from the didn’t get into Ivy but going to professional school group.

My daughter is a junior and loves Swarthmore. She is being recruited for a sport but unfortunately she doesn’t have an SAT score, nor in all likelihood will she have one by pre-read season. Anyone been through this process at Swarthmore? Wondering if they’ll just drop SAT/ACT requirements or push back pre-reads.

My DS graduated in 2008 in a science field. He was an athlete and was also accepted to a 2 other NESCACS. He choose Swarthmore for the academics and the diversity. My DS came from a umc primarily white high school. Academics were tough. but agree nobody discussed their grades. Super high achievers. At graduation, general chit chat came back to what's next for you...Lots of ivy degrees to follow from from Harvard Law to Oxford to medical school.

I read about the closing of the fraternities. I never even knew they had them.
