I absolutely hated the Ascent and so did my DH. I couldn't wait to get rid of it. At 3mos we had to replace part of the transmission after getting stuck on the road with our two young children 3 hours from home. It's slow, no pick-up, horrible CVT (and my Legacy has CVT with no issue), and uncomfortable seats for long drives. I could keep going. It was worth the money we lost in the sale to get rid of it.
Huh, we really like the Ascent.

This is insane. Many people just don't like minivans. I for one. NEVER!!!
If I had to compromise, I would get probably Volkswagen Atlas with leather seats
as for this price it is huge but still looks cool and feels like respectable car.
HUGE interior.
DP, I considered that. Then I realized it’s a VW. It’ll be in the shop more than I’d be able to drive it.
My college car was VW Golf and first family car was Passat, never once a problem in years.
Go visit their faiclities, they are European cars, European standards and they
have to keep up now especially after the farud with the fuel.
I would take VW over Asian car in a heartbeat.

if kids are still young, why not just get another minivan? no SUV will beat the space/driveability of a minivan
I just don’t want to. My youngest is 10.
suck it up, OP.
