Synopsis: rich people are stupid and shallow, poor people are cruel and deceitful, everyone is self-absorbed, yawn
For a movie celebrated over its class issues, it was full of trite stereotypes and not at all provocative
You don't have to like it. But this isn't a "Hollywood" film in any way.
It won SIX Oscars, including best Picture, Director, and Original Screenplay. That’s Hollywood celebrating the movie as brilliant, incredible, masterful. It wasn’t made in Hollywood but it was clearly influenced by Tarantino and wildly praised by Hollywood.
...influenced by Tarantino? Ummm, no. Tarantino was influenced by Bong Joon Ho. People who don't know film or Hollywood should take a seat. This is an outsider film that Hollywood recognized. IT. IS. NOT. A. HOLLYWOOD. FILM.
