Me too, except I gave it 5 episodes.

It's fine but nothing extraordinary or really interesting.

We couldn't even make it through the first episode. Didn't get a single laugh out of us...

I love the folks that say they watched x number if episodes and hated it. /s

I’m on that boat too, but know that I am obviously in the minority so will give it a few more episodes. I personally need something else to watch, and if so many others like it, I’m not *that* different that I’d be completely repulsed by it. (Other than GOT; i was lost by ep3 And canceled hbo)

So to the not-yet-into-it People like me, just think of a show that you loved, that got good reviews, and a few outliers told you they didn’t care for it. I just advised them “stick with it, it will pay off soon”. So I’m going to take my own advice And will watch episode 3 of SC this weekend..

Fingers crossed I’m singing it’s praises soon.

This last pp's post is so weird.

I’m that PP, basically what I was trying to say w/o being an arsehole:

“Why come into a thread and say you hated it. Op asked who else liked it. Give it a chance. ‘Everyone’ loves it, are you they different?! Anyway I’m more self aware than you so I’m at least going to try. Now take that!”

I wanted to like this but couldn't make it past the first few episodes. I thought the "kids" were way too old for the parts they were playing so it was hard to move past that. When does it pick up steam and why does it get better? I'm thinking about giving it another try since so many people really like it.

Previous PP, season 2 is a huge improvement over S01. And it improves even more after that.

I’m on my second viewing of the whole thing. Waiting for S06. It’s just such great acting.

I hated the first episode and was underwhelmed by the second. My sister, who had recommended it to me, said "it's slow to get started. Don't give up. It gets so good!" and I agree.

So if you're bored and need a show, give it another shot and give it the first 4 eps or so before you decide. It's insane and sweet and funny. Not much on TV like it.

Make sure you watch the behind the scenes, farewell episode. It is on season six and it is right before episode one. It is on on-demand free.

I'm on season 1 episode 12 or so and I love this show. Catherine O'hara is the best!

Love this article:
"The way Catherine O’Hara says “Alexis” is the most important spin on saying a name since Jerry Seinfeld snarled “Newman.” It’s affected and strangely accented, with too much time on the L sound, and extra air in the second syllable. It’s a to-do. And it’s one of the most consistent pleasures of the consistently pleasurable “Schitt’s Creek."
