Are you familiar with the turner leather chair? How’s the quality?

Belford is gaudy.

How can a company that sells furniture from hundreds of manufacturers in hundreds of different styles be summed up as being gaudy? You don't know what Belfort is, do you?

Yes, prices are high but the furniture is beautiful. With so much free shipping or local inexpensive shipping from local furniture stores buying single items is not worth it a t at PB. I like a table for 600 but the 149 shipping is excessive. It even fits in my SUV but shipping only.

We bought our king size bed from www.frontgate.com. I would also go to horchow website.

What is your style? I can recommend a few, but that would help!

DP - can you mention all of them? We are redesigning and don't really have a style yet.

Check out Warehouse Showrooms. They aren’t huge and don’t have a lot in stock, but they can order nearly anything from one of their suppliers— their stuff looks ultra traditional but we got a dining room table there that’s pretty sleek and modern, and 100% handmade in the US.

This is so funny about PB’s quality. They buy furniture from thousands of vendors. That’s why the dressers held up and a sofa didn’t. Personally I like some of the modern leathers chairs (they bought from Four Hands) have and the PB square sofa.

Independent furniture stores that sell stuff made of real wood, and made in America. And it's typically the same price as the cheaply made Chinese/3rd world stuff Pottery Barn sells. Their furniture constructions sucks-- both materials and workmanship.

I mean this is definitely not all true and Crate and Barrel also sells solid wood furniture made in America.

Crate and Barrel also sells a lot of particle board and engineered wood furniture. In fact, it is mostly that.
