He doesn't bother me THAT much. Yes, he was young and stupid. Who wasn't?
I wasn't. I'm the same age, and I knew blackface was wrong since the 70's.
So I'm clearly more qualified to be your governor than the moron you have right now.

Oh dear, let me get the smelling salts. Someone has the vapors.
Oh dear, looks like another racist apologist. Someone has the works upsidedown.
No, I just think your post is uninformed and hysterical, and I don't think you're actually all that upset about the blackface itself, I think you're upset that your party wasn't able to get an advantage out of it.
First, it's not correct to say he didn't even get a slap on the wrist. He was excoriated for weeks, people called for him to resign, the only thing that saved him on that front was that the two people in line behind him had their own scandals (and everyone knew that whatever they thought of Northam, a Republican would be worse on issues of racial equality).
Second, Northam truly dedicated himself to learning, doing better and trying to work constructively on race-related issues since then, in a way that I don't know we've seen a politician do before. In that sense, I think he's a model for how to respond to a scandal like this in a way that is constructive and appropriate rather than pandering.

Code § 24.2-233 states acceptable reasons for recall when it has "material adverse effect upon the conduct of the office" include:[2]
Neglect of duty
Misuse of office
Incompetence in the performance
Other acceptable reasons include:
Conviction of a misdemeanor relating to drugs
Conviction of a misdemeanor involving a "hate crime"
Northam has not been accused of any of those.
Its also not clear that the recall law even applies to Governors office.
He wiil be out of office in two years. He's done a good job in office in the last two years. I suspect the complaints about him from anon people here are more from people who want to stop the Dem leglislative agenda than from people who care about moondances.
It's "moonwalk", Ivan.
I realize it seems like the same thing, but America English is full of little gotchas like that, where paid Russian troll influencers like you trip up and out yourselves.
Let’s not use zenophobia to protect the racist in the governor’s office.
You complain about someone referring to moonwalks as “moondances,” but can’t spell xenophobia? GTFO.

So, understanding the defects, the fact is that I not only support him but I respect the job he is doing, and I’m glad he’s doing it.
