It is up to my kid. The brand name means nothing later in life. That is what data says anyway.
I know a kid turned down partial scholarship at Ivy to attend UMD full ride. Not everyone is rich.

I went to two different Ivies for undergrad and grad school. I was friends with many recruited athletes. Ivies do not give athletic or merit scholarships.
