Oh, definitely worse! 62 versus 52. I have been a competitive runner and have done light strength training for 25 years. I looked good even at 50 in a jog bra and shorts. Went through menopause at 49. Stayed in great shape despite menopause until 4 years ago when I had to quit running or exercising for five months. I’m now 62, but am getting back into racing shape slowly per my age. I think you can look better in your 40’s than your 30’s due to fitness, not so much pure diet. Menopause is a true game changer as far as dealing with your looks. Botox, lasers become secondary to greys, weight gain and loss of muscle tone. I never did any facial stuff but use lots of sunscreen, good treatments and have good Norwegian genetics. My friends in the same situation as I am , that accept aging but deal with it without drastic measures, are happier, look better and have more money(no plastic surgery or fillers, Laser and Botox are used by some) and time to enjoy our lives.

The best advice I can give to younger women reading this is to weigh yourself daily once you hit your 40s. It’s not about vanity. It’s about fending off the gradual weight gain that can occur. I didn’t do this because I was naturally thin, and was shocked to gain 30 pounds, that I’m trying to lose.

I look much older than in 2009 and it’s because of my weight. Worse, I feel much older and my blood pressure has risen. I know I’m on my path to being healthy again but this would be so much easier if I’d been monitoring my weight closely and taking steps to address gradual gain.

31 vs 41, white. I looked good then and I do so now. My skin was better, of course (plumper, more glowing) but I still have no wrinkles, only one very fine line on my forehead that often goes away after good sleep. But my style is definitely better and I lost some weight (waan't overweight even back then). So I can't complain )

30 vs 40. Very little physical difference. Black don't crack, especially if you know how to use birth control. But a world of glow-up difference. To some people, I probably look better now because I carry myself with more wisdom, confidence, and style. To others (e.g., predatory losers), I looked better when I was younger because I was obviously insecure and naive, and thus easier to approach.

My weight is almost the same at 44 vs 34. I’ve had two kids in those 10 years so belly skin is a bit stretched but no stretch marks. I’m the same fit-wise although it takes more effort to achieve the same goals. Face wise, I’m sleep deprived and I’ve lost almost all of the collagen in my skin- used to have a round face and bally cheeks. But my style is much better now than at 34 although it was pretty good back then. Oddly enough, I looked better at 34 than 24. I looked 25 at 34 and looked like a teen at 24. At 24 I didn’t know how to play up my pros and downplay my cons.

44 vs 54. At 44, I was chasing after my 2 yr old and looked haggard. I didn’t see my hair stylist at all during that time either and had a lot of grey.

The 2 yr old is 12 now and so much easier, and I look a whole lot better too. Much better maintenance and no grey!

I definitely look better at 46 than at 36. I probably look the pretty much the same — except for a few more winkles — but am happier with my life.

Worse. I’m not a sorcerer. I looked good at 32 and good for 42.

32 vs. 42 definitely better then. My skin was just so much more glowing and rested looking. I weigh the same, but I looked (and was) more fit.

I am 60 pounds smaller so I look better in that way but I am really gray now so there's that.

37 vs 47, even though I still look good and same weight, but definitely younger looking with better skin and no grey hairs at 37 ..
