I'm single and don't have family nearby. I'll be hiking with friends the morning of Xmas Eve. Christmas morning I'll sleep in and then FaceTime family. Then I'm working a temporary job at a Christmas Festival on both the evenings of the 24th and 25th. It can be lonely when you're not near family and that's why I took on the extra job- something to fill the time and extra money.

Our local zoo has been open on Christmas Day and we’ve gone and it’s been great, very empty and quiet. Drive around looking at lights.

These days they enjoy playing with their new toys for hours so it’s easy.

last year we used Christmas Eve to make a gingerbread house from scratch. Planning on doing the same this year. Christmas Day is with extended family once we have opened gifts and gone to church.

Christmas Eve - chat with family we don’t see often, bake cookies, watch Christmas movies, play board/card games

Christmas Day - open presents, play with new toys, eat a big meal, catch up with more family, laugh and play games, talk about old times, eat more.

You didn't understand the question if you thought it was weird.

Christmas Eve morning DH will go get some hours in at work. My office is closed so I’ll be home. DS and I are going out for breakfast. We are going to have one of his friends over and bake and decorate Gingerbread and sugar cookies. We will prep appetizers for evening grazing. Open family gifts around 4 and let DS play with his gifts as he pleases until bed time. Maybe watch Christmas Specials if DS asks.

Christmas Day we’ll get up whenever, open Santa gifts. Have breakfast, maybe sticky buns if I get motivated enough on Christmas Eve. Play with stuff, nap, and a nice family dinner around 5.
