Parents pay for the test. For some reason the test scores are sent directly to the K-8 parochial schools and the high schools where the child applied BEFORE sending it to the parents who paid for the test. Ridiculous.

Q: When are test scores released?
A: Test results are emailed to families in January. The test scores are released in the third week of January, and are sent to the email address on the HSPT registration.
May give K-8 schools who provide the pipeline of HSPT test takers early warning on any bad news? Still ridiculous.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Who pays for tests? Anonymous wrote:I find it highly annoying that the high schools and our parochial school were sent the scores already and that we are not notified until 1/19. I don't understand the rationale as to why they wouldn't notify parents at the same time they let the schools know?

My son received a letter from a school that he was 'eligible' for one based on his HSPT score. He has to write an essay and be selected from there. I'm guessing something similar for pp. Some schools award them directly, some you need to qualify and then apply.

Has anyone received their official scores yet?
