We decided to go with an SUV as the specs are smaller and will be easier for our day to day.
An option for you might be a used minivan?
DP here. What SUV did you get? I also need an SUV that is narrower than the new vans. Looking at MDX.

It sometimes does seem like a lot for only 4 of us but it is nice to cram visitors into one car to go places and extra clutch on road trips. The sliding doors (when they work) are also a game changer. Not sure we should talk about brands on this thread or not but we have the 2018 Honda Odyssey and it actually is kind of terrible. The doors are always breaking and we've been in for 3 recalls in a year...so maybe don't get an Odyssey.
Yeah the new Odyssey has a ton of issues, not just these. We have an older Odyssey that’s been great. Planned to get another but have changed our minds based on reviews.
