ECNL regional in Virginia = NPL. So it's as good a league as NPL was because that's what it is.

PDA South is outside of Philly- maybe 25 mins on the NJ side..
Cedars Stars is up near NYC.. So about 90 mins away from each other.

The only other big clubs in the PDA South area are SJEBRush, FC Bucks and FC Delco. SJEBRush just started in the GDA, Bucks and Delco are a mess. Now would be the time for PDA to take over that South Jersey/Philly area.
The Gimmick si the whole "ECNL regional" sales pitch. As I said, TALENT wise, they may deserve to be ECNL teams and I don't know if that was the C team that gave Richmond United a run for its money. (I can't remember now).

The top PDA South teams play in the ECNL Regional League, along with PDA Blue ECNL Regional Teams.. There is no PDA White team in the ECNL Regional league.

The PDA South teams are very strong and will probably win the u13 and u14 Northeast divisions. I'm not sure about the older teams.
That's helpful. Thank you. Ok, so two true, real ECNL teams, which are talent wise an A and a B. And then the gimmick teams, Blue and South. South may deserve to be a true ECNL team talent wise, but they have not been accorded that status.

PDA has an a and a B team in the actual ECNL. They were allowed to put their B team in the ECNL in exchange for dropping their DA team. Then they have a C and D team in a "regional" ECNL which is not really ECNL at all. That is just a sales gimmick. PDA is a megaclub, and it's worth noting that their C team almost beat Richmond United's team at Jeff Cup a year or 2 ago.

It's all relative. PDA (and FC Stars) are huge clubs (my daughter plays at Stars where there are 12 teams in her age group, playing in various leagues). They have the numbers and talent to support 2 teams in each age group in ECNL and ECNLR.

PDA and FC Stars have 2 ECNL teams (Blue and White) and 2 ECNL Regional teams (Blue and White) per age group. The 2 ECNL teams play in the same division and play against each other just as though they were different clubs. It's really not that hard to understand.
