That poll data is from before the public hearings - when the republicans were destroyed and left flapping their gums like fish at the hearings.

2. These Senators largely have the same opinion as the American majority, but again, they have been bought. How they will vote =/= what they truly believe.
You KNOW the senators have not been bought. They have six year terms and few if any are Trumpers. The best thing by far for Republicans would be to force Trump to resign and get Nikki Haley to run in 2020. It would be a landslide. So this is not naked partisanship. the majority opinion is that this is an inappropriate act that does not rise to the level of a high crime under the Constitution. That is not a troll.
I'm sorry. Are you trying to say that American politicians have NOT been bought by special interests (which includes the NRA which = Russia)???

No it doesn't. And yes, the Republicans in the Senate are shameless partisans without any moral core whatsoever. That much has been made clear these past few years and I agree it is absurd - to think that these people love their own party more than they love their country, to realize they have no shame and no core convictions other than desire to stay in power. It's a disgrace and history will not look kindly on them, just as it does not look kindly on the politicians who supported segregation and other horrible things from our past.
