We have the crib and wouldn’t consider a Volvo because of the repair costs.
Agree, Volvo's are nice cars, but because of a) higher initial purchase price, b) higher insurance premium c) less reliable (than a Honda) d) higher cost per repair, e) higher depreciation and f) perhaps using premium fuel (if its turbocharged), the lifetime cost of owning the Volvo from acquisition to disposition may be much much higher than owning a Honda. Add to that the cost of taking time off from work to drop/pick up at dealership during repairs etc.
