I saw a group (7-8 ish) of 13/14 year old girls being followed around by two parents. In a very nice and safe suburb, residential streets and everything. Looked ridiculous.

This year she went with two friends from school who she’s known for a few years now. Our neighborhood is super safe though. They ended up getting cold and coming home to pass out candy to other kids. She even dressed up our dog, who had a costume I forgot about.

You must not be from this area bit wasn’t cold her in Halloween.

This. That’s when my kids did it but they were in very large groups and we live in a safe neighborhood. Some of the 11 year olds were taller than adults.

15?!

Your parents let you go out alone just one year before you could drive alone?! Wow.

For me it was the same as others, 10ish

Yup. We lived on a main road, not in the best part of town. Honestly, it didn't bother me at all. We walked ahead, but the parental unit was in the vicinity at all times.

At age 14 I worked like 20 hours a week!

Me too, but still got supervised when I TOTed. Go figure.

I probably went alone 10/11 yrs old. I was overall a pretty good kid. But on Halloween, there would always be one kid in the group that would suggest stupid things for us to do. And we ALL did them.

Not all kids do stupid things.

It absolutely depends on the crowd and the neighborhood.
