One time I was sick at home with a 75% recovered 3-year-old. I tried to hold it together, but at some point I passed out on the couch. When I woke up maybe 30 minutes later, I was literally covered in toys. She had gotten out every toy she could reach and piled them all over me and was happily watching cartoons a couple feet away. It looked like the stockroom of a Toys R Us had exploded all over the family room.

I am a SAHM too and when we are in this situation (DH could technically stay home but it would be a big ask, and I am too sick to provide decent care), this is what we do:
DH makes breakfast and then packs leftovers into one of the bento lunch boxes for the kids
DH goes in late at 10:30 and from like 8-9:30 he takes whichever kid is healthy and runs them around a park somewhere or just goes for a long walk or bike ride or something in the neighborhood. This gives the sick kid and I a chance to rest in a quiet house. And means the healthy kid is a bit worn out and ready to play inside.
I take over kids at 9:30/10-ish and we all lay on the floor/couch in the babyproofed playroom while the healthy kid plays until lunch (which is easy because I just have to take the lid off the bento box).
After lunch, nap or screens then an early bath for the healthy kid with a bath bomb from my secret stash saved just for such occasions. DH picks up takeout for dinner and handles bedtime routine.

It sucks for DH but then when he inevitably gets sick he can actually take a proper sick day and sleep while I shoo the kids away so it sort of works out in the end.

Next time, the instant one child starts getting sick, have them cough and sneeze on the other one. That way they are both sick

It happens to all of us. Put his favorite toys all over the living room floor and let him go to town. Put his favorite movie on, or whatever shows he wants to watch. You can lay on the sofa and keep an eye on him.

Nobody is a perfect parent with a 101 degree temperature. You gotta let a lot of things slide.

Do you have doctor toys? When i was pg with #2 and felt awful, DD and I played doctor a lot... meaning I laid down on the floor and she poked me with toy stethoscopes etc.

Anything you can do from a laying down position. Any chance your toddler will play fetch? Pretend to be a doggie?!

Old enough to enjoy a nice long bubble bath?

I used to just throw Kraft singles and yogurt at that kid and hope they were still in the house when I drifted back from some brief sick-nap.
