Knowing who someone is and being able to recognize their face and two different things. I was on a field trip recently and a white middle aged teacher absolutely failed to recognize Lin-Manuel Miranda’s face in a selfie a student shared but she knew his name. I bet in a heartbeat she would assume he was “the help” at a function.
