High rate of failure when used imperfectly.
Exactly.
Abstinence “birth control” = higher chance of pregnancy and STDs

My daughter is a teenager and she’s in a healthy relationship that her father and I monitor and the boys parents monitor . We’re going to talk to the OBG on Monday and thank you for the advice implant sounds good .

NP I would worry more about this than what kind of birth control she uses. How long is long term to you? I personally hate seeing girls get into serious relationships because girls and women tend to sacrifice themselves for the sake of the boys. When I mean sacrifice I mean denying themselves, not giving their opinions or doing what they want to do because they want their boyfriends to "love" them. And teenage girls tend to lose themselves. It is bad enough when women have to. I would encourage my daughters to find themselves before finding a long term boyfriend to please.

You are on the TEENAGE forum. You need to make a u-turn and go back to Elementary Schoolers forum.
Not PP, but My daughter just turned 14, still can’t imagine having to worry about this in 2 years ...
Teens change very rapidly. Your 16 year old will be a different person than your 14 year old (with some recognizable personality traits). Bonus-- I don't miss my teens PMS.)
