You will reward Katie by giving her free stuff, and losing more $$?

My guess is if you call Honda, they are going to back up the dealer. You're in the wrong. What do you want to happen? They are forced to take your credit card? If you don’t like their terms, go to another dealer. Stop whining.

I am honestly surprised by the replies on here. Op may be a big baby, but as consumers, aren’t we supposed to keep asking for more? That’s how we get things (like good deals on new cars). Dealer said no, which is fine—but spare us your month-end numbers stuff because that’s your problem, not the customer’s. Dealer should have just said “I’m so sorry but we can’t do it” instead of acting like they should take the offer back but won’t. There are SO MANY dealers out there—we don’t need to buy from the a-hole dealer. They need the customer more than the customer needs them.

OP, if this is a decent dealership with good sales and the car is one that's pretty easy to move/sell (which it sounds like it is), then, at this point, after you've failed to honor the contract and are the one acting all shady and are demanding something that doesn't work for them business-wise...they probably just want you to go away.

How do you go medieval? What does it entail? You mean you yell at them and lose your mind? To achieve what? You realize most of those working there are, are there for a reason? They are the worst aholes that couldn't last at any other job that involves being a decent human being.

I purchased a new car a few months ago and wanted to pay in cash. I had the money in my online checking account but they would not take a transfer or echeck. They only would take a paper check. So that would take 3 days to transfer to my checking account. I gave them a check and said it would be good in 3 days.

They withdrew the money after 3 days and then a week later they turned me over to collections! I got hit with finance charges and fees. I was so pissed. Seems like two departments weren't talking to each other. I'm still upset they wouldn't take an echeck.
