Can't believe Republicans aren't bothered by this. What would happen if a Democrat were President and did this?
Nevermind, they would be impeached about lying about a blow job.

All of that is unrelated to the Justice department conspiracy-theory probe into the origins of Russiagate. That investigation may be stupid and waste of money, but it probably isn't illegal.
Keep your eye on the ball and don't let them whip you up about the side-show. They really, really want to roll Ukraine into that, and it isn't the same thing at all.

And, when the investigation proves your wrong, I will be sure to return to say, "We told you so."

Anonymous wrote:This thread simply proves there are two America's, and the one headed by trump and Barr is the most corrupt administration in the history of this country. It was nice while it lasted, but I think our Republic is hanging on by a fraying thread.

Did you folks not know that foreign governments were involved in it?
So, only Trump is allowed to be investigated?
You guys are crazy - you want the country burned down so that Trump can survive. He has polluted everything he has touched. You are cheering him destroying our country! Unbelievable.
Au contraire, grasshopper.
This investigation will no doubt reveal how very corrupt people at the top of our government took actions, probably illegally, to try to sway the 2016 election and the presidency following.
Just wait.

As I posted in another thread, this quote from the article spells out the issue pretty succinctly:
David Laufman, a former Justice Department official who was involved in the early stages of the Russia probe, said it was “fairly unorthodox for the attorney general personally to be flying around the world as a point person to further evidence-gathering for a specific Justice Department investigation,” and especially so in Barr’s case.
“Even if one questions, as a threshold matter, the propriety of conducting a re-investigation of the Justice Department’s own prior investigation of Russia’s interference, the appointment of John Durham — a seasoned, nonpartisan prosecutor — provided some reason to believe that it would be handled in a professional, nonpartisan manner,” Laufman said. “But if the attorney general is essentially running this investigation, that entire premise is out the window.”
Or to quote a favorite twitter meme with a pic of Barr: "We investigated ourselves and found no evidence of wrongdoing!"

Not surprising that someone who worked on the Clinton investigation and the Russian investigation would weigh in with negative thoughts.
Barr is the AG. If there is corruption in government - particularly with the DOJ, it is his job to hunt it down.
Absolutely nothing wrong with his involvement.
