Bummer, because he used to be my favorite character.

I'm thinking maybe this show has redeemed itself. I really didn't love it so much after last year but if this season stays like this I'm fully invested.
When Kate started talking about Jack "watching" Steelers game from a young age, I just broke. She was trying so hard up to that point to not give into the reality.

And the song playing across that sounded so familiar, with the lyrics," I love my father and I love him well. I hope to see him someday soon." Very poignant. Was it in another episode?
While not all the episodes have the same stellar writing and emotional heft, so far this season is working for me. As always, the acting is great.

They didn't come out and say it, but my guess is she'll end up being Kevin's significant other after forming a friendship with Nicky.
Sometimes they have detailed subplots involving people whose lives only intersect with the main characters at a single point. But maybe.

I read that they were only going to do these extreme future stories very sparingly, but the producers love the actor so much that they've expanded their plans for him.
Also, when casting the role, they only looked for blind actors. I thought that was interesting.
The boy and the military stories weren't extreme future stories. They were in the present. Only Kate's son's story was in the future.
Am I wrong?

I loved grown up Jack as the big time singer. I’m looking forward to that storyline.
Also, did anyone catch the Pearson political bumper sticker on one of the cars in that body shop? I like that kid who is going to be Deja’s boyfriend.
I saw the bumper sticker, but I was still very confused at that point. Overall, I loved the episode. I'm glad it's back!
