Eh. I had very authoritarian parents and was never allowed to throw tantrums, cry, or vocalize any disagreement whatsoever. I had to be very agreeable and pleasant at all times.

All those years of pent-up frustration resulted in the teenage horror to end all horrors. I rebelled more than any other kid in my school. I was the kid no other kid was allowed to hang out with. You name it, I did it. I'm pretty sure I was the cause of my dad's heart attack.

My now 4yo has been like this for years. Best I can tell she’s got high social-emotional skills. Unfortunately that comes with a lot of anxiety in her case. Also not academically inclined yet. I have no reason to suspect she’s intellectually gifted!
