Where are the people who thought she wouldn't serve a day in jail?. Do you weirdos have any idea of what the feds conviction rate is? I think it's something like 94%+ . No way in hell was this felon not going to eat some reality check pies in jail. I for one, hopes there's operation varsity part two after this first round .

I’m shocked at you apologists. This celebrity is a thief, plain and simple. The fact that private universities will accept students on the basis of a sizeable donation is irrelevant. Admissions is for the college to give, by whatever metric they choose. (The college is freely exchanging a spot at the school for a donation, and that’s fine.) That doesn’t mean that it is anyone’s for the taking. I can’t believe I have to remind grown adults that it isn’t right to take something that isn’t theirs.

Well, I certainly hope a lot more.

I have to admire FH for accepting full responsibility and for not trying to weasel her way out. Yes, she did something illegal and morally wrong, but she never tried to argue otherwise. Also, compared to the money spent by other parents in this case, hers was almost quaint. I have to wonder what sentence LL and the others who have plead not guilty will receive.

Don't know but I'm sure this is not what she was hoping for.

^In fact, that might actually be a good reality t.v. show series. Send her around the country and let her spend real hours working with kids who are cleaning up trash, working with rescue animals (cleaning cages, socializing strays), helping out in hospitals and nursing homes. Let Ms. Huffman roll up her own damned sleeves and see how it's done. Also, wouldn't hurt for her to see how much these kids study and put into their SAT prep.

If she got this much, I can’t even imagine what LL and husband will get.

14 days, plus 30K fine, plus 250 hours of community service plus a year of supervised probation.

So basically half the jail time recommended, 10K more than the fine recommended (basically double what she paid to cheat) and 250 hours of community service to boot.
