Then you have to come back at her and tell her you can’t shrink the kids, so it would be far better to buy them larger sizes from now on.
How does she know the kids’ sizes — is she guessing or do you tell her? That may be something you can control — always tell her the larger size you’d rather get. Maybe before the clearance sales start, you can give her kid size updates. Put the reminders on your calendar now. November before Black Friday, immediately after Christmas, early July for summer clothes.
