I’m also Swedish and genetically my family just ages well/looks younger. I’m also not super thin so my face isn’t drawn. I think women get too thin and their face ages them. It’s okay to be a size 6.

I thought Scandinavians don’t age well

Nope! A Swedish friend is in his late 50s and looks like late 30s. Hasn't even gone grey yet. He's also tall and thin.

Not all. I know some Swedes that have aged terribly.

The classic "Sample of 1" DCUM argument.

Anecdata.

LOL, I’m going to add this word to Urban Dictionary right now

So far, 63 for me.
Male.

Not as well as you think it does.

Perhaps. My 8 figure net worth probably helps some too.

I hope to god I don’t have to brag about my nw when I am your age. Super pathetic.

Lighten up.
PP here. I’m 63, male, 5’10” & 190 LBS. I have almost all my hair, albeit now it’s salt and pepper.
I’m hardly “buff” but I’m in very good shape physically. I like to play some sports, enjoy socializing, go out dancing regularly and I’m not cheep. I live in an area (Naples Fl) that is loaded with single middle-age people and I can date as much as I care to. The N-W comment was a bit tongue in cheek in response to a prior reply. It was a subtle (but true) comment that probably didn’t translate well.
It’s a not uncommon joke in Naples that a fat wallet can make people, male or female, much more desirable.

Anonymous wrote:I think keeping your weight in check. It also depends where you gain...midriff weight is more aging than hips. Probably because menopause causes weight gain around middle, lose that waist hip ratio.

Make sure you don't have a cut it color that ages you...and also keep your teeth in good shape.

The rest is either genetics or lifelong care of skin, diet etc.

Agree about keeping your weight in check, however—-I’m going to disagree w/ a lot of people on this board. You DO NOT need to be “hot” to have a wonderful sex life. Most humans are not hot. Lol. People sag and have moles and this and that. You can enjoy a fun & varied sex life regardless of hotness, but I do recommend being somewhat healthy! You don’t need to be a beacon of health, but enough so that you have some stamina and no hang ups.

Put forth some effort. Even if you ate a perfect diet and workout it doesn’t mean some effort into hair and makeup and clothing wouldn’t help.
