Man here. I’m 60, tall, and I’m in great shape. Have I hit the wall? I don’t think so. I’m certainly in better shape than 95% of men my age and even than a great many men in their 40s.

But this doesn’t really matter, because I have no doubt few women under 50 would be interested in me even though I am in superior physical condition to much younger men.

I definitely lost a step by 40 and slid downhill until I hit the wall at 50. At that point, I was would have been turned away at the Goodwill donation bin. I don't make DCUM money so I know I have to stay married.

The X factor for men is health. Sadly as soon as our 30s many of us men begin to have some chronic health issues.

If you are “in the West,” you are unlikely to have access to a large sample size of African Americans or African immigrants. I live in a city that’s 50% black and see a lot of naked bodies via my job in health care.

“Black” people absolutely age best in terms of skin and muscle tone and sag/ no sag. It’s not uncommon to meet 70 year old AA men and women with no wrinkles. Truth.

A good personality and a sense of humor will help you remain attractive for a long time. Staying active and take care of your appearance helps too.

Probably because women in their 40's are divorced with kids. And truly are looking for a wallet and new dad. Smart guy probably doesn't want to be a ATM to some head case. If you are looking for a true partner you pretty much need to date close to your age, economics, and educational level.

You can only go by the average person, it's not a absolute (disclaimer). Men and women age the same, it's the genetics, sun, and lifestyle that plays a lot into youth. Depends on the guy. I’m 49 and know of two other HS friends that are in as good shape as I am. The rest, drank in college, got married, unhealthy diet, had kids, became comfortable and are fat.

So what if it's "just make up" (it's not! It's more than that!).
She still cares about how she shows up and that's a huge difference. You'd want a woman who didn't give up.


Yes, there is some botox, fillers, laser treatments, and perhaps a blepharoplasty, neck lift, or lower and/or mid-face work going on with J.Lo. There is also a good deal of hard work and discipline in terms of exercise and a strict diet. Still, the finished product work at keeping her look fresh and young for a woman of her age. She cares and it shows. Men like that.

There is a 61 year old gentleman at the gym who still has a lot of sex appeal, a silver fox. He is faithfully married to a lovely woman who also works out at the gym, so people respect that and stay away. Look but don't touch!
