You certainly have a 'right' to do this. But the vast majority would not at this point.


Have to be honest....I would ignore and pick up the poop. If it happens a second time talk to the parents. Only as a complete last resort would I call the police. All that does is set up an issue between you and your neighbors.

The idea 1) that the kid should have the police called on him is insane as is 2) the idea that police (and hence public resources) should be called to avenge the OP about POOP. Perspective is very important. I know you are seething but the obvious thing is to talk to the parents or let it roll off your back.

Nobody's kid picks up the poop unless they are threatened by their parents. This is normal. Tell the kid you'll pick it up once and don't ever do it again. Nuff said.

+1 We let it slide a few times when our neighbor's dog pooped in our yard, and then eventually talked to our neighbor who apologized. We also added a section to our fence, so we don't need to depend on them being a good neighbor.

Doggy poo bags are biodegradable. They're as good as gone in a pretty short time.

Yes, it would be better in the sewer and without the plastic.

But the landfill is far better than where people live and could get sick.
