Taxes - 100k
Mortgage - 40k
Childcare and preschool - 50k
Retirement savings - 100k
College savings - 25k
Leaves us with 81k. We then give around 7-8k which is 10 percent
Not my fault the US government can’t do more with the 100k we pay in taxes.

Something tells me you know nothing about the emergency and other services the LDS church provides to members and non-members. We were the first trucks of food, clean-up etc. on site after Hurricane Sandy, for example.
Something also tells me that you do not respect Christians, or people who are/believe differently from you.
The Mormon or lds church has never been accepted as a Christian Church by ecumenical churches. You have a doctrine that differs too much and read a Bible version not recognized.
I do not understand why you claim to be mainstream Protestants
You cannot buy your way into the heavenly afterlife. You shall receive it regardless of how much money you throw at the alter.
I recommend reading church history. The doctrine of 10% is American Protestant, fairly new to the practice of Christian faith

This is all after you're dead, right?
Hahah! Of course! We all want to stay together as a family in the afterlife.

so, only the members of your family who paid their temple dues on earth can stay together in the afterlife?
