My kids are also half and half, and I do think in those terms. They are mixed, but no one would call the Caucasian (i.e. white). The world will see them as having "color" and I have raised them to recognize that.

I’m 1/4 Asian and look completely white but don’t consider myself Asian. My dad is 1/2 Asian and looks Asian but considers himself white because it’s “better”.

The world sees President Obama as Black. And he is truly African-American (half African and half American).

My kids are half Indian half white, but look pure white (blue eyes/brown hair). I still mark them as mixed race bc that’s what they are. And as for the Dravidian poster, I’m a dark Dravidian. Genetics works in mysterious ways.
