Agree. And an MBA is worthless, everyone and his brother has one.

Hahah, it's how you use it. Entrepreneur here and the MBA helped to round out my skills since I was clueless about finance and accounting going into my MBA. But yeah if you just get it and keep the same salaried job, it's not much good.

fwiw, I currently have a marketing-related job and have knowledge of digital marketing, data analytics and market research.

That's what I want to know. I am constantly stunned by the salaries I see posted on DCUM.

Only if you’re c-suit, so not the actual designer/developer.

An L6 or higher at Google (or equivalent at similar company) is clearing $500k easily. I don't know exactly how many L6 and above Google has now but it's at least several thousand. C level in any real tech company with more than a few hundred employees is well into the millions.

+1,000

L6 is not that high up. I’m trying to hire a senior manager from Apple in supply chain who has comp approaching $1M. Tech pays.

If you are a disabled vet you should look into government contracting.

Very few doctors. Only like the top 5% (most of whom are in a few select specialties) reach that income level.

I'd estimate that at least 50% of MDs can make $220/hr net and work as many shifts as they want. Certainly the ED pays this. Work 2300 hrs/year and you have hit $500k net. Most MDs make less because they choose to work fewer hours and take less call. Some choose to practice in an environment that is lower reimbursement.

You'd be overestimating. As a dual boarded IM sub specialist, I don't do shift work, but make less than half that. Primary care also is often much less.

Imagine how people with bachelors must feel!

And obviously there’s no differentiation between an MBA from say Harvard, Booth or Wharton and one from University of Maryland right ?

A c-suit doesn’t necessarily get you into the c-suite...

Only GCs for large companies make in this range and the competition for those jobs is insane.

Is OP good looking?

OP here. I don't think looks are my meal ticket these days. I do manage people have have a leadership role now and an MBA. Just feeling like I've topped out where I am. Appreciate all the suggestions.
