My boyfriend has been separated for two years and will be divorced soon.

His ex wife is a controlling bitch who alienates him from his daughter and tries to limit his custody so she can maximize her CS.

Well she's got another thing coming because now I'm pregnant and we will have our own family. He doesn't have to cry every night from missing his child bc I will give him another one.

Oh and the ex wife kept saying that he better not have another kid. Bye bitch.

This is absurdly controlling and crazy. Part of divorcing is knowing the other person might move on and start a new, different family. If a man was on here plotting how to sabotage his wife's fertility before surprising her with a divorce the responses would melt the servers (as they should).

That comparison doesn't work because women have a natural end to their fertility. Men don't really have to worry that their 38 year old ex-wife will meet someone in time to have more children. And in doing so, reducing the amount of child support or resources that his children will have. It's possible but statistically unlikely.

Obviously, it's the dh's body, his choice. But I completely understand OP's concerns.

OP has to think about her children. If you think it's in their best interest to encourage him to get a vasectomy, do it.

Are you in favor of forced sterilization of low-income women who have already had children? You seem quite against individual reproductive rights, so I'd guess yes.

Nothing to stop him from spending money after the divorce, whether it's on kids or something else. Maybe he'll take up an expensive hobby like yachting.

It’s petty, but so were a his really stupid lies.

If he's the sort of person who would support his children only to the state required amount, having more children isn't going to make any difference. He'll still only support his children to the state required amount, and his new wife will get any money/property he leaves when he dies.

If you want to make sure your children are taken care of, do it through the divorce settlement. A vasectomy won't protect an inheritance.
