The doors are great yes, but that’s about it. I’m glad I leased it and didn’t buy. It’s bulky, doesn’t have great pickup, and I wouldn’t want to own this for the next 15 years. You'll need the mini until you kid s old enough to drive.

Yea, my kids are hitting driving age and this is the first time I've felt like we can do without a minivan in the family. I've had an Odyssey of some sort for the past 15 years. Even after the kids leave for college, I may hold on to my latest 2018 Odyssey because it works really well for hauling stuff - almost like a utility van.

I’m regretting my lease with 2 elem school kids, they are much tougher on the interior than I thought they would be.

I would not lease a car with kids.

Do you have a partner at home? What’s the other car? Who drives the kids the most? If you already have one practical car, you can get something that is a little nicer. You should have one car that can haul kids and stuff, and also pick up things from the garden center in the back. I’m a single parent, so I have a three row SUV. If there were two of us, we’d probably have one SUV and one sedan.

If you need a longer term rental car, would it make sense to take over someone’s lease that has like 7-8 mo left?
