The success or failure of a club at the high school level will ultimately be measured by how well they develop players and these players get recruited to play in college. This is why most, not all, girls play club lacrosse. At the high school age you start to see which players have the potential to play at the highest level. This is not to suggest they are ready in 9th grade and that you won't have late bloomers, but for the most part you can start to pick out those players who have the build and potential to play a faster more physical game in college. Will be interesting to see how this all works out for the top two local HS club programs given the talent pool was split in half this year.

Capital 21 Blue added one girl from its Orange roster, and then Capital 21 Orange added two new girls on defense and mid. The 22s added 2-3 to both rosters bringing them up to 21-22 as well, and Capital had 80+ tryout for its 23 teams. So not really sure what the PP is suggesting as no one left, but Capital has a new ED who is simply revamping the site to one that supports more functions - period. The rosters are set and the girls had their first practice last week. Anyway, we'll know soon enough on the "quality" once they start playing fall ball and the recruiting process starts - as will other clubs.

That sounds like they're using their web site as an excuse. I hheard that there has been attrition (that they didn't expect although apparently it was predicted by others) and that the rosters aren't as "strong" as hoped.

Capital rosters were out a while ago on the younger girls and the older this week on their Teamsnap accounts according to DD, but I heard their website is being retooled. So not sure on timeline there. Not sure about other clubs’ rosters.

Why do you think Capital hasn't publicly posted the roster on the website? And yes, I want to know out of sheer curiosity. Pride hasn't posted theirs either. (Cue the "Pride can't fill their roster" poster.)

This so bizarre, M&D is the only truly elite club of these three (other two are good, but not as dominant top to bottom) and my child doesn’t play for them. Chris Robinson has built a truly amazing organization.
