Ed Harris is not in Top Gun. So, no. You're thinking of Michael Ironside.
Or Rick Rossovich.
Tim Robbins
Winner!
No way is Tim Robbins more famous than Meg Ryan.

+1 I was 16 when Top Gun came out, watched Risky Business many times before that! Of course I'm going to see it! He really disappointed me as a person, but my heart still really enjoys his movies!

It was a really fun movie, but I feel like a sequel could end up being terrible ...
It may very well be terrible, and there is still a 100% chance I am seeing it. Likely on opening day. Top Gun was the seminal movie of my childhood.
It launched Meg Ryan's career, and Anthony Edwards's. It catapulted Tom Cruise (crazy though he may be) into superstardom.
And, just for bonus points, who is the second most famous actor in the film? Arguably the first, ahead of Cruise?
It's not who you think.
It better be Val Kilmer because ....it’s Val Kilmer. Lol
Nope. I said, it's not who you think.
Ok. Let me try Kelly McGillis ?

Just because someone was in it, doesn't mean it launched their career. This movie didn't launch Tim Robbins.

Are you sure they're not the same person? Have you ever seen them in the same room at the same time?

+1 I refuse to give a dime that will go to Scientology.
The you better be crossing other things off your list too, like the Handmaid’s Tale and Beck concerts. Some people are real joy kills.
No one else we all know is as scientology awful as Cruise. I can usually separate the actor’s work from the actor’s personal life. Not with Cruise.
Cruise and I’ll never pay a cent to see a Weinstein film. Pigs are pigs. I don’t want to make them richer.
I'm curious as to where you stand on the Lego movies.
